Introduction
At Dornoch Lochans there is fly and bait fishing, a driving range and a pitch and putt course. All equipment and lessons are available. We are ideally situated just off the A9 just outside Dornoch, just a short drive from Inverness and local towns like Golspie, Brora, Rogart and Tain. If you are staying in the Highlands come and enjoy one of Sutherland's best features.
We have open air recreation for everyone, novice and expert, young and old, in attractive surroundings with breathtaking views over the Dornoch Firth. You are welcome to come and have a look and ask us personally for more information.
Recreation for all the family:
Picnic tables are positioned overlooking both fly and bait Lochans along with a barbeque stand.
Come and enjoy the variety of birds which visit and take advantage of the lochans. These include swans who nest on an island, wading heron, geese, mallard, teal, gulls, moorhen, oyster catchers, curlews, lapwing, sand martins, swallows and many smaller birds who come to breed. You may even be lucky enough to see our visiting ospreys plunging and taking a fish.
